London Fashion Week!!!!
SURPRISE! 🤭
For those of you that don’t already know, I got to live out a huge dream of mine… attending Fashion Week! I would have never envisioned that 2023 would have Fashion Week in store, let alone in London! I am so beyond grateful for this experience and am so excited to be sharing it with you all.
The show I worked for and attended was the brand Unhidden. I am so inspired by all of the incredible work that they do. If you have the time, I encourage you to read about their mission to provide inclusive fashion for all. I’ve linked their website above.
Two weeks prior to the show, I started working at the Unhidden office. I had the opportunity to work closely with CEO Victoria Jenkins, who is an absolute badass. It was so cool to watch all of the behind the scenes work that goes into producing such a large and significant event. The photo below is with some friends I made that also worked at the office :)
On show day, I started my day with a blowout at 7:30 am 😝
Once I arrived at the venue, it was nonstop. I tried to capture as much footage as I could, but I barely had a minute to sit all day! I assisted the crew in setting up, running last minute errands, stuffing gift bags, and sending emails. Before the show, I got to squeeze in a quick makeover from the incredibly talented makeup artists backstage (this was of course a highlight of the day).
The show itself left me speechless. It was so empowering to see such a strong group of models embracing their disabilities and strutting proud down the runway. I must give an honorable mention to one of my best friend’s (Stella’s) younger brother. Oliver was a model in the show, and I felt so lucky to witness him partaking in such a pivotal moment in fashion history. Below is Oliver and the film crew :)
I left the venue at 1:00 am, ordered in a big bowl of pasta, and could hardly feel my feet the next morning.
All in all, London Fashion Week was an experience I will truly never forget. Thank you all for supporting me in my adventures <3
